Kano, The Patriotic Elders Forum of Nigeria, has asked the Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar to show more maturity which though he possessed in not only accepting the last verdict of the Nation Apex Court, but also coming out to support the Government of Ahmad Bola Tinubu.
The Elders believes that Atiku Abubakar had fought a gallant legal battles up to Supreme Court, as such now that the Government of President Ahmad Bola Tinubu has been legally recognized, it is desirable for him to one Congratulate the Government and expressed his open support.
Speaking in a Press Release, the Patriotic Elders, National President, Dr Bature AbdulAziz, said while Congratulating President on the Court Victory, that not only Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, all other opposed Persons to the APC government should now shield their Swords to work with the Government.
“I know that as a Former Vice President and also an Elder Statesman, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar would now show his full respect and compassion for the Government of President Ahmad Bola Tinubu now that everything about 2023 has finally concluded”.
Bature AbdulAziz, added that, “President Tinubu on his part should be magnanimous in victory because that victory is not his alone is for all Nigerians especially peace loving Citizens, he should be friendly to all those who contested the Nation exalted seat with him”.
“Nigeria right now needs everybody on board on how to solve the mirage of problems Bedevilling it’s, and the Government in Office should consider bringing anybody who has something to offer to be friendly with it”.
In the same vein the Elders urged President Tinubu to now fully concentrate on solving the devastating poverty and hyper inflation in the Country, so that citizens would reap the benefits of their popular mandates on him.
Dr Bature AbdulAziz, similarly asked the President Cabinet Members to be loyal to the Government by way of their full commitments and dedication to the service of their Fatherland.
“I believes together we will come out stronger out of the economic and Social problems we are facing, this is because, we all agreed that the Government is focused with strong Policies what it’s required is the nation understanding and support”.
