MAGI Graduates Another 50 Youth, Inducts New Board Member in Niger

A Non Governmental Organization identified as Millennium Africa Global Initiative (MAGI), has graduated another set of 50 beneficiaries on skills acquisition scheme to be self employed and reliant in Niger state.

The National Coordinator of MAGI,
Marshall Okoro made the disclosure during the graduation and induction of the new board members chaired by the Niger state branch of Nigeria Miners Association, Hon. S.D Mombo in Minna.

Okoro explained that 16 projects were embarked upon within this year which was aimed at touching lives especially at the grassroot levels, assuring to sustain the skills acquisition programmes because governments can not provide jobs for every citizens in the country, hence the need for youth empowerment.

He revealed that the recorded strides were co- sponsored by the MAGI, partners and board members while he advised the youths to take advantage of the scheme and made judicious use of the knowledge gained to the benefit of the society.

The event chairman and registrar of Scientific Equipment Development Centre Minna, Prof. Mohammed Ndaliman applauded the NGO for several years effort in training of youths and women, urging the beneficiaries to be agents of transformation in the country.

In his acceptance speech, the newly inducted board chairman, Mohammed S.D Mombo appreciated the recognition of MAGI who have contributed immensely to humanity and promised to do his best to move the NGO to next level of development by making it attractive to the economic sectors in Nigeria.

One of the beneficiaries, Ladidi John (catering) in an interview expressed satisfaction with the training programmes and appealed to the well to do individuals and groups to endeavor to support MAGI as been challenged with inadequate equipments to ease training and assured to be good ambassadors
