Niger Govt Inaugurates Inauguration Committee Members

The Niger State government has inaugurated its inauguration committee membership for seamless transfer of power from governor Abubakar Sani Bello to the incoming governor, Umar Mohammed Bago on 29th May, 2023.

The State Secretary to the Government SSG Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Matane while inaugurating various committees in his office, Minna, said this will allay the concern, misconception and misrepresentation in the public

He added that over 200 miscreants have been arrested in Minna and environs who have been disturbing the relative peace enjoyed to ensure smooth movement in the state capital

Matane reiterated the commitment of the state government in ensuring a hitch free transition hence the collapsed in to one that of the governor- elect so as to having understanding to have insight to the government activities by the incoming government.

He explained that the collapsed of the two committees in to one was aimed at working together to ensure the success of the committees mandate of peace and tranquility process, assured of the provision of the needed funds for the event as required.

The committees inaugurated include; security, venue, protocol and accomodations, inaugural lecture, publicity and mobilization, transport and logistics, dinner and entertainment and medical chaired by their relevant ministry’s Commissioners with protocol chaired by the Chief of Staff.

Responding, the chairman of the governor elect committee for inauguration, Dr Mohammed Kudu Santuraki stated that it’s a transition within same political party hence the seamless transition of power.

He assured that the two committees will work together who shared almost same names although theirs is large for all inclusiveness while the government membership is slim deliberately for its reasons.
