2023: Niger PDP Guber Reiterates Not Taking Bago to Court

Niger State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship candidate in the just concluded elections, Alhaji Isah Liman Kantigi has reiterated that he has no plan to take his counterpart and the winner from the All Progressives Congress APC, Umar Mohammed Bago to Court over the outcome of the election.

Kantigi gave the assurance when the governor elect Umar Bago and his team visited him in his residence in Minna, he described Bago as his brother adding that the election was a Zone A (Niger South) affairs hence what Niger state needed now is the development of the state.

He emphasized that nobody should cause crisis and those intending should restrain from such act by allowing peace to reign, urging Bago to shun hypocrites to ensure development just as he Kantigi has declared to support and continued to pray for the success of his administration.

In his remarks, the Niger State Governor elect Umar Mohammed Bago said the singular honor by Kantigi who called and congratulate him when collation of results was still ongoing has changed history in Niger state politics for a new dawn.

Bago explained that Kantigi has opened his doors for him to tap from his wealth of experience and he will continue to consult and liase with him, reassuring to set up a government of unity that will involved everyone in governance.
