Police Service Commission Concludes Disciplinary Matters, Clears Officers

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has concluded 24 appeals and one pending disciplinary matter at its ongoing Plenary Meeting held at the Solomon Arase Conference Hall.

The Commission dismissed allegations against DIG Bzigu Yakubu Kwazhi Dali, mni, describing petitions from anonymous senior officers as frivolous, and nullified a warning letter not issued by the PSC.

ACP Ejiofor Grace Obiageli was reinstated following her compulsory retirement linked to a tragic incident in Cross Rivers State.

Other officers cleared include ACP Muhammad Awwal Yunusa, CSP Ihekandu Allwell Okwuonu (reinstated), SP Clement Awoyemi (reinstatement date adjusted), and ASPs Bamiselu Oluwaseun, Ahmed Monday, and Imoohi Doora (reinstated).

PSC Chairman DIG Hashimu Argungu (rtd) mni stated the Commission will expedite pending disciplinary cases, freeing innocent officers for career progression.

The PSC had earlier approved promotions including a Deputy Inspector General and one Commissioner to Assistant Inspector General, among others.

Promotions were also approved for SP Omenihu Obinna, DSP Bankole Olajide Joseph, and others, with some confirmed as Assistant Superintendents of Police.
