Yusuf warns public officials following Namadi’s resignation

Kano, Aug. Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State has issued a stern warning to public officials after Transport Commissioner Alhaji Ibrahim Namadi Dala’s resignation over his involvement in a suspected drug offender’s bail process.
Governor Abba Yusuf addressed the 30th Executive Council Meeting in Kano on Wednesday, emphasizing his administration’s commitment to discipline, transparency, and zero tolerance for corruption and drug related offences.
Governor Yusuf emphasized his government’s unwavering stance against drug abuse, trafficking, and social vices threatening the state’s youth.
He urged cabinet members to uphold the highest standards of integrity, warning that misconduct would not be tolerated.
The Governor stated that public officials engaging in misconduct would face the full weight of the law and advised those who could no longer uphold the administration’s values to voluntarily resign.
Governor Yusuf reaffirmed his government’s mission to restore sanity, integrity, and progress in Kano, emphasizing that this mandate would not be compromised.
