Kano, Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State on Tuesday signed three bills into law, marking a significant milestone in the state’s legislative landscape.
The newly enacted laws are:Kano State Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (Amendment) Law, 2025 This law aims to improve transportation systems in the metropolitan area.
Kano State Centre for Disease Control and Prevention Law, 2025, This law establishes a center to prevent and control diseases in the state.
Kano State Security Neighborhood Watch Law, 2025*: This law seeks to enhance security through neighborhood watch initiatives.
Governor Yusuf assented to the bills at the 25th Kano State Executive Council meeting, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to delivering democracy dividends and driving socioeconomic development.
He expressed gratitude for the people’s support and cooperation, urging them to sustain the momentum to achieve the administration’s goals.
