Kano, Malam Sunusi Bature, Director General of Media and Publicity at Kano Government House, has laid the foundation for the Sadiq Maddibo Memorial Quranic Centre in Dawakin Tofa town.
This centre is a heartfelt tribute to his late son, Sadiq, and his father, aiming to propagate Islamic knowledge and provide a holistic education.
The centre will offer classes in Quranic studies, as well as formal education in subjects like English and Mathematics, empowering students to navigate contemporary society.
Notably, Goni Ishaq Maratai, an expert in Quranic teaching with over four decades of experience, will lead the centre.
This initiative is particularly poignant, given Sadiq’s 15-year battle with sickle cell anemia.
Malam Bature’s commitment to education and Islamic values serves as a lasting legacy for his son and father.
