Kano, Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State has been honored with the prestigious NUT Golden Award for his outstanding performance in reforming the state’s education sector.
The award was presented during the World Teachers’ Day 2024 celebration at Eagle Square, Abuja, organized in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Education.
This is contained in a statement issued by his spokeman Bature Dawakin Tofa in Kano on Saturday.
The NUT National Chairman, Comrade Titus Ambe, praised Governor Yusuf’s dedication to advancing education, particularly through supporting teachers’ welfare and continuous training.
Governor Yusuf reaffirmed his commitment to further investing in education, emphasizing the importance of sustaining progress to ensure future generations thrive.
