Abuja – August 10, 2026 – Senator Aliyu Wamakko on Monday joined other dignitaries to receive the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, Rabitat al-Alam al-Islami, on arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The visit is ahead of an upcoming international conference scheduled to hold in Abuja.
The conference is expected to bring together Islamic scholars, leaders and other personalities to deliberate on peace, security, unity and socio-economic development.
Wamakko was accompanied by Governor of Sokoto State, Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto; Senator Danjuma Goje; and Minister of Labour and Employment, Mohammad Maigari Dingyadi, among others.
The Senator, who is a member of the Muslim World League, prayed for the success of the gathering and for peace, unity and development for the Muslim Ummah and humanity.
