Yusuf condoles JIBWIS, commissioner over death of Engr. Abdullahi

Kano – July 14, 2026 – Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has condoled with the Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa’iqamatis Sunnah, JIBWIS, and the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Children and the Disabled, Amina Abdullahi Sani, over the death of Engineer Yusuf Abdullahi.

This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Tuesday.

The late Abdullahi, also known as Baba, was a respected engineer, religious leader and younger brother of the commissioner.

He was also a close associate of Islamic scholar, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Pakistan, and a committed member of JIBWIS, where he was admired for his dedication to the propagation of Islam and community service.

Governor Yusuf described the deceased as a humble, God-fearing and compassionate individual whose contributions to engineering, religious activities and humanitarian causes earned him respect across Kano State and beyond.

He said the death was a great loss not only to the immediate family but also to the JIBWIS community, the engineering profession and the people of Kano State.

The governor extended condolences to the commissioner, Professor Saleh Pakistan, the leadership and members of JIBWIS, and the entire Abdullahi family.

He prayed to Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give the family the strength to bear the loss.
