Kano, Oct. 16, 2026 , Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State has congratulated his Ekiti State counterpart, Biodun Oyebanji, on his inauguration for a second term in office.
Yusuf described the occasion as a significant milestone in Oyebanji’s political career and a testament to the confidence reposed in his leadership by the people of Ekiti State.
The governor expressed optimism that Oyebanji’s second term would provide another opportunity to consolidate his achievements, strengthen democratic governance, and accelerate development across Ekiti State.
He urged the Ekiti State governor to remain committed to people-oriented policies, inclusive governance, and programmes aimed at improving the living conditions of citizens.
Yusuf, who was represented by his deputy, Murtala Garo, at the inauguration, also emphasised the importance of cooperation among state governments in promoting national unity, economic growth, and sustainable development.
He wished Oyebanji and his deputy, Monisade Afuye, a successful and productive second term in office.
