Kano, Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano state, on Thursday, congratulated the newly-elected APC North-West zonal executive officers.
This is contained in a statement signed by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa, on Thursday, in Kano.
According to Dawakin-Tofa, Yusuf, who led the delegation to the APC North-West Zonal Congress in Kaduna, emphasized party unity and inclusive leadership.
He said, “The delegation comprised elected representatives, political appointees, party executives, and key stakeholders, underscoring Kano State’s strong presence and strategic role within the party in the North-West geopolitical zone.
“Gov. Yusuf’s participation reflects his administration’s commitment to fostering party unity, strengthening internal democracy, and promoting inclusive leadership within the APC.”
The governor emphasised the need for peaceful, transparent, and credible intra-party processes, describing them as critical to the party’s growth, stability, and long-term success.
“Delegates at the congress unanimously ratified the emergence of the newly elected APC North-West Zonal leadership, reflecting unity and consensus within the party.
“The Kano delegation reaffirmed its loyalty to the party and pledged continued support towards strengthening its structures at all levels,” he said.
