The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has set a revenue target of ₦9 trillion for 2026, driven by trade facilitation reforms and technological advancements to curb cargo diversion and revenue leakages.
Comptroller-General Adewale Adeniyi announced this, saying the final figure would be revealed after consultations with the National Assembly.
Last year, the Service exceeded its revenue target by 11%, raking in over ₦100 billion from traders who regularised underpaid duties.
Adeniyi vowed to sustain this trend, citing improved trade processes and voluntary compliance among importers and exporters.
