Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, former Governor of Sokoto State and Senator representing Sokoto North, has reaffirmed his strong support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s policies and programmes ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Wamakko made this statement at the Government House, Sokoto, during the flag-off ceremony for the reconstruction of the burnt section of the Sokoto Central Market.
Wamakko praised President Tinubu for consistently supporting state governments by releasing their statutory allocations promptly.
describing it as critical to effective governance and development.
He also highlighted the Tinubu administration’s federal appointments in favour of Sokoto State, noting that such inclusiveness and representation are unprecedented in the state’s political history .
The Senator urged citizens to appreciate the Federal Government’s efforts and remain supportive of the Tinubu administration’s policies and programmes.
He also commended Governor Ahmad Aliyu for his developmental projects, particularly in infrastructure and economic revitalisation, and assured him of continued support from political leaders and stakeholders.
