Senator Wamakko Awards Full Scholarships to 29 Indigent Students

Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko of Sokoto State has awarded full scholarships to 29 indigent students for undergraduate studies at Huda University, Gusau, Zamfara State.

The presentation ceremony was held at the senator’s Gawon Nama residence in Sokoto, where Senator Wamakko urged the beneficiaries to honour the trust placed in them.

He stressed that discipline, focus and good character are essential for achieving meaningful success.

He reminded the students that education shapes the future and that, as representatives of Sokoto State, they carry the responsibility to uphold values of respect, integrity and community spirit.

Abdul Salam, a student representative, expressed gratitude on behalf of his peers, describing the scholarship as a life‑altering opportunity that will open academic and professional doors.

Scholarship offer letters were presented to the recipients, marking the official start of their educational journey under Senator Wamakko’s patronage.

Over the years, Senator Wamakko has sponsored thousands of students in tertiary institutions in Nigeria and abroad, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to education and youth empowerment.
