Kano, Dozens of youths associations have called on Deputy Senate President, Sen. Barau Jibrin, to contest for the governorship of Kano State under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.
The News Agency of Nigeria ( NAN) reports that the groups, comprising about 90 youths associations, made the call during a grand endorsement rally in Kano on Sunday.
The groups cited Jibrin’s leadership experience and developmental strides.
The event celebrated the Senator’s achievements and appealed to him to bring his expertise to bear as the next Governor of the state.
Jibrin’s Chief of Staff, Prof. Mohammad Ibn Abdallah, listed several projects facilitated by the senator in Kano State, including federal Universities and a solar power project at AKTH, among others.
The groups assured Jibrin of their support, if he decides to contest for the governorship, citing their confidence in his leadership qualities.
