CP orders fresh deployment to boost security in Kano

Kano, The Commissioner of Police in Kano State, Ibrahim Bakori, has ordered the immediate deployment of additional personnel to communities, schools and border local government areas to strengthen security across the state.
This is contained in a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, CSP Abdullahi Kiyawa, in Kano on Thursday.
The directive followed a strategic meeting on Wednesday with operational Commanders to review the security situation and adopt proactive measures aimed at enhancing surveillance and intelligence‑gathering.
Kiyawa explained that the deployment, which took effect on Thursday, underscored the command’s firm commitment to protecting lives and property and curbing criminal activities within the state.
He reiterated that the command would not tolerate any acts intended to create fear or insecurity.
Kiyawa said, ” Residents were urged to remain vigilant and to report suspicious activities or individuals to the nearest police station or via the command’s emergency numbers: 0803 241 9754, 0812 382 1575, or 0902 929 2926.
” The command assures the public of its continued dedication to peace and order and thanked citizens for their cooperation in providing timely, actionable information that supports the maintenance of security throughout the state.”
