KNSG reiterates commitment to improve learning

Kano, The Kano State Education Commissioner Dr. Ali Haruna Abubakar Makoda has emphasised the importance of quality school leadership for improved learning outcomes in Kano schools.

Speaking at a two-day British Council workshop on Leading Learning for Gender Equality in Education for Kano, Kaduna, Plateau and FCT, Makoda said strong instructional support from school leaders is crucial for desired student outcomes.

Makoda stressed school leaders should assign tasks considerately, monitor lessons for gaps needing teacher training, and ensure mentorship and motivation for teachers.

The Commissioner said Kano government is ensuring teacher training at basic and secondary levels plus prompt salary payment by the 25th of every month.

He thanked the British Council for the workshop and urged teachers and school leaders to work hard to improve the education system.

Dr. Makoda’s remarks underscore Kano’s commitment to enhancing education quality and equity in the state.
