Kano Commissioner Commends Conduct of NBAIS Examination

The Kano State Commissioner of Education, Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda, has commended the conduct of the ongoing National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies Examination (NBAIS). 

During a monitoring visit to School for Arabic Studies (SAS) and Abdullahi Bayero College of Qur’anic Studies, the Commissioner expressed satisfaction with the arrangements made for the examination.

Dr. Makoda praised the students for their focus and dedication to the examination process. He also commended the effort of Abdullahi Bayero College of Qur’anic Studies old boys (class of 1993) for renovating two classes with furniture, providing water tanks, and installing street lights within the school premises.

The Commissioner urged other old students’ unions to emulate this gesture by making donations in cash or kind for the development of their respective schools. 

Dr. Makoda reiterated the commitment of the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to boosting the standard of Islamic education in the state.

The Principals of SAS and Abdullahi Bayero College of Qur’anic Studies thanked the Commissioner for his visit and commended the Governor for settling the NBAIS examination fees for Kano students for 2024 and 2025.

The Commissioner also visited Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education, where he supervised a training program for school headmasters, head teachers, and directors organized by the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).
