Kano Govt Strengthens Partnership with NGOs on Education

The Kano State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) to enhance the education sector. 

This assurance was made by the State Commissioner of Education, Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda, while receiving teaching materials donated by Plan International and its consortium partners.

Over 6,000 learning materials, including exercise books, pens, bags, and textbooks

Materials will be distributed across five Local Government Areas (Kumbotso, Nasarawa, Gwale, Tudun Wada, and Rimin Gado)

72 classes in 20 learning centers

Accelerating Basic Education and Livelihood Opportunities for Children and Youth in North-Western Nigeria (ABEP)

Enhance access to quality basic education and livelihood opportunities for children and youth

The government appreciates Plan International’s support and assures judicious utilization of donated materials

The government is committed to working with NGOs to develop the education sector.
