Saudi Arabia Distributes 1,250 Cartons of Dates to Kano State

The Consulate General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Kano has distributed 1,250 cartons of dates to Kano State Government and northern Nigerian states.

This donation is part of Saudi Arabia’s annual humanitarian relief efforts, facilitated by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) ¹.

According to Consul General Khalil Admawy, the initiative aims to support vulnerable families across Nigeria and strengthen ties between the two nations.

Admawy expressed gratitude to King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their support in providing aid to Muslims and underserved communities worldwide.

This year’s distribution includes, 50 tonnes of dates for Abuja which took place last week

50 tonnes of dates for Kano and northern Nigerian states with arrangements ongoing for delivery

The donation reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to humanitarian causes, Islamic solidarity, and providing relief to those in need. 

The Consulate will collaborate with local authorities and humanitarian organizations to ensure the dates reach the most vulnerable families in various regions of Nigeria.

In a related development, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has completed over 2,500 projects valued at more than $7 billion, benefiting 91 countries, with the help of 175 members of the United Nations ¹.
