Northwest University Inter staff Games: Directorate of Security emerges champion in table tennis
Directorate of Security table tennis team has emerged winners of the event after beating its Registry counterpart 2-0.
The competition which was part of the ongoing Northwest University Kano inter directorate staff Games held at the institution’s premises.
The university’ s Vice chancellor, Professor Muktar Atiku Kurawa who described the games as a way of improving the staff fitness and healthy aimed at ensuring productivity and efficiency in discharging their responsibility.
Professor Muktar Atiku Kurawa pledged that the university management will continue to support and encourage the sports directorate towards the overall development of various sporting activities in the university.
In the final of table tennis event, the security directorate won gold, the Registry took the second position with silver.
In his remarks, the university’ s spokesperson, Mallam Abubakar Ibrahim congratulating the winners an charged the loss to redouble effort in future championship.
Munir Balarabe however, presenting the medals to the winners, commending the sports directorate under the leadership of Ahmad Surajo for their commitment and dedication towards the development of various sporting events in the university.
Commenting, the chief coach of Table Tennis, Abubakar Makwarari shows appreciation to the Director of Sports for his wisdom and dedication to initiates these kind of competition.

Meanwhile, Faculty of Science defeated University’s Internal Audit 3-0 straight to emerged 3rd Position with a bronze medal.
