The Kano State Government, in partnership with Partnership For Learning For All in Nigeria (PLANE), has organized a 3-day procurement training program for planning officers in the education sector.
The training, which took place at Tahir Guest Palace, aimed to enhance the participants’ knowledge on procurement planning and its benefits for successful implementation.
According to Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda, the State Commissioner of Education, the training is part of the present administration’s efforts to revive the education sector through intensive workshops and enhance service delivery.
The commissioner, represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Bashir Baffa Muhammad, commended PLANE for their partnership and assured continued cooperation.
” Participants were guided through technical sessions on Kano State public financial management law and public procurement law.
‘ Participants enhanced their compliance with the Kano State education sector implementation law.
” Participants acquired basic knowledge on effective implementation of education sector procurements in Kano State.
The training program is a significant step towards improving the education sector in Kano State, and the government’s collaboration with PLANE demonstrates its commitment to enhancing service delivery.
