Kano Mourns: Yusuf, Kwankwaso, Emir Sanusi II Attend Funeral of Late REMASAB Boss

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, former Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso, and Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II led hundreds of mourners in paying their last respects to Alhaji Ahmadu Haruna Zago, the late Managing Director of the Kano State Refuse Management and Sanitation Board (REMASAB).
The Janaza prayer, held at the Emir’s palace, was a solemn occasion, with dignitaries and residents gathering to bid farewell to the departed leader.
Governor Yusuf described Alhaji Zago as a dedicated public servant, master political strategist, and business mogul who played a pivotal role in shaping Kano’s political landscape over the past 50 years.
Alhaji Zago’s impressive resume includes serving as State Chairman of the defunct ANPP, Political Adviser to a former Governor, and Special Assistant to a former Speaker of the House of Representatives ยน. He is survived by four wives, 37 children, and many grandchildren.
Governor Yusuf extended his condolences to the bereaved family and the people of Kano, praying for Allah’s mercy upon Zago’s departed soul.
