Wedding

Vice President Kashim Shettima and Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, stood in as representatives for the sons of Kano APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas, during their wedding Fatiha on Saturday.
The ceremony, which took place at the Alfurqan Jummaat Mosque, saw Abbas Abdullahi Abbas wed Arch Khadija Attahiru Buhari, and Muhammad Abdullahi Abbas wed Zulaihat Nasir, with dowries of N500,000 each.
The event was attended by prominent APC members, including Minister of Agriculture Abubakar Kyari, former Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State, and House of Representatives Committee Chairmen Abubakar Kabir Abubakar and Ado Alhassan Doguwa.
Vice President Shettima represented the two grooms, while Senator Barau Jibrin represented the brides.
The APC Kano Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas, expressed gratitude to Vice President Shettima, Senator Barau Jibrin, and other dignitaries for attending the ceremony.
This event comes after Senator Barau Jibrin’s own family celebrated a high-profile wedding in December 2024, which was described as the “wedding of the century” in Kano.
