Kano, Governor,Abba Yusuf of Kano State has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to entrepreneurship and infrastructure development.
He received two prestigious awards: the SME Governor of the Year 2024 and the MAKIA Modernisation award.
This is contained in a statement issued by his spokesperson Sunusi Dawakin Tofa in Kano on Wednesday.
The SME Governor of the Year 2024 award was conferred on Governor Yusuf by LakeWhyte Communications, acknowledging his remarkable strides in empowering women and youth through various initiatives.
These initiatives include the disbursement of N50,000 capital to 5,200 women monthly, demonstrating his commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and economic growth.
Additionally, Governor Yusuf received the MAKIA Modernisation award from the National Air Traffic Communicators Association of Nigeria.
This award recognizes his dedication to modernizing and remodeling the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, showcasing his efforts to enhance infrastructure development in the state.
These dual honors underscore Governor Yusuf’s tireless efforts to drive economic growth, empower women and youth, and develop critical infrastructure in Kano State.
