Kano contingents laud rescheduling of under 15 schools tournament

Kano, Students of Government College, Kano, have welcomed the decision of
the Nigerian School Sports Federation (NSSF) to reschedule the national Under-15 Schools tournament.
The NSSF has rescheduled the national Under-15 School tournament to November 6-15 in Abuja.
The students were initially set to participate in the fiesta from Oct. 24 to Nov.1, but they said the postponement would not deter them.
The students expressed gratitude to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his support in preparing them morally and ensuring their comfort during the competition .
Governor Yusuf has been a strong advocate for education and sports development in Kano State.
Recently, he distributed 73,800 three-seat desks to schools across the 44 local government areas to improve learning conditions.
He also approved the release of N4.8 billion for renovation and construction of additional classrooms in public primary schools, demonstrating his commitment to creating a conducive learning environment ².
The students of Government College Kano are determined to make their state proud, and with the governor’s backing, they’re more confident than ever.
As Malam Ibrahim Bello, the director of sports in the state ministry of education, noted, the postponement won’t discourage the team, and they’ll continue to work towards their goals ¹.
With the new dates set, the team is gearing up to showcase their skills and sustain Kano State’s impressive record in sporting competitions.
