Gov.Yusuf Tasks LG Chairmen on Prodent Management

Kano, Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has sworn in 44 newly elected local government chairmen, including the only female chairman, Sa’adatu Salisu of Tudun Wada Local Government area.
This historic event follows the local government elections held on Saturday, where six political parties participated.
During the swearing-in ceremony at the Kano State Government House, Governor Yusuf emphasized the importance of the election, citing the Supreme Court judgment that affirms the financial autonomy of the 774 Local Government Councils.
He urged the new chairmen to assume duty immediately, discharge their duties effectively, and lead with fear of Allah, guided by their oath of office.
The Kano State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Bar. Haruna Isa Dederi, administered the oath of office to the newly elected chairmen. Earlier,
KANSIEC Chairman Prof. Sani Lawal Malumfashi issued certificates of return to the chairmen, validating their legitimacy as local government leaders.
