Youths set ablaze multi-million Naira office complex of NCC in Kano,

Kano, On Thursday, a group of youths set fire to the multi-million naira office complex of the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) located on State Road in Kano.

The newly constructed office, scheduled for inauguration next week, was torched by the youths at around 10:00 am.

A large number of youths, armed with dangerous weapons, have taken over major roads in the Kano metropolis.

In Hotoro quarters, all shops were closed, and a filling station was set ablaze, along with Rufaida shop.

The incident highlights the escalating violence and destruction of property in Kano, as youths continue to express their frustration and anger over various grievances. 

The authorities have been urged to take immediate action to restore order and protect lives and property.

 Alhaji Isa Musa, a resident of Charanchi in Gwale Local Government Area (LGA), described the current situation as a threat to humanity.

Protesters have taken over the streets, and shops in the metropolis remain closed. 

Musa urged the police to deploy additional personnel to the area immediately to address the deteriorating security situation and restore order.

The situation highlights the need for prompt action to ensure the safety and security of residents, protect property, and maintain law and order in the metropolis.
