The Dawakin Tofa Academic Forum (DAF) and the Dawakin Tofa Education Trust Fund (DETF) have honored Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, spokesperson for Kano State Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for his outstanding contributions to education in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area.
During a visit to his office, Dr. Mamunu Mustapha presented a letter of appreciation on behalf of the two organizations, highlighting Sunusi Bature’s significant support for students from Dawakin Tofa, particularly those enrolled in degree programs at Bayero University Kano (BUK). His generosity has helped many students by covering registration fees for the 2023/2024 academic session, alleviating financial burdens and enabling them to focus on their studies.
Sunusi Bature’s commitment to education extends beyond BUK, as he has also provided assistance to students at the Kano State Polytechnic’s School of Science and Allied Health Sciences in Gwamai.
DAF and DETFnd commended Sunusi Bature’s dedication to improving educational opportunities in Dawakin Tofa, emphasizing his instrumental role in helping more students pursue higher education. They encouraged him to continue his efforts to raise educational standards and provide greater opportunities for the youth in the community.
In response, Sunusi Bature stated that he is committed to supporting the educational transformation of Dawakin Tofa Local Government, aligning with the present administration’s priority on education.
