Kano Govt launches mosquito control measures

The Kano State Government has launched a mosquito control campaign to create a healthier environment for its citizens.
The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change is conducting larvicidal control and fumigation exercises in metropolitan areas to eradicate mosquitoes and other insects.
Commissioner Rt. Hon. Nasiru Sule Garo led the operation, which targets areas with stagnant water and waste.
Garo, said that the operation targets ponds, refuse collection centers, disposal sites, and stagnant drainages.
In addition to larvicidal control, fumigation exercises are also being conducted to control mosquitoes and other insects.
The government aims to provide a healthy environment for its citizens, and the commissioner praised Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his support.
The public is urged to participate in regular sanitation exercises and properly dispose of waste to maintain a habitable environment.
