Police arrest 19 suspects for armed robbery,cattle rustling kidnapping in Kano

Kano, The Police in Kano have arrested 19 suspects for armed robbery, cattle rustling and kidnapping.
This is contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Commissioner of Police in the state, Usaini Gumel.
Gumel gave names of the suspects as:
Auwal Fulani, aged 27 years old, Abdullahi Salisu, aged 28 years old, Halilu Adamu, aged 37 years old, Abdulkarim Harisu, aged 37 years old,Alhassan Abubakar, aged 20 years old, Sani Abdullahi, aged 45 years old, Tasiu Jamilu, aged 25 years old, Sani Muhammad, aged 45 years old and Auwal Umar, aged 25 years old.
Others,he said, include: Usman Abdullahi, aged 26 years old, Mustapha Umar, aged 25 years, Nazifi Abdullahi, aged 30 years old, Isa Abbas, aged 21 years old,Junaidu Hamisu aged 33 years old, ‘m’, and Abdulrazak Aliyu, aged 22 years old.
He said weapons recovered from the suspects include:As 2AK-47 rifles,one Smoke Pistol, one Pump Action rifle, 26 Rounds of 7.2mm Live Ammunition, 17 Live Cartridges, 2 Motor Vehicles, 16 Rams, other dangerous weapons and house breaking implements,
The commissioner stated that the feat was achieved through the efforts of the State Police Command at checkmating violent criminal activities in all parts of the state to ensure the safety and security of all residents of the area.
He said the drive was in the command’s emplacement of “robust crime prevention patrols that led to the arrest of nineteen (19) suspects in connection with various crimes including armed robbery, cattle rustling, kidnapping, and other banditry-related crimes.”
He said all the suspects were presently undergoing detailed investigation at the Criminal Investigation Department of the Command after which they would be charged to court.
Gumel assured that the command would continue to work tirelessly to ensure the protection of lives and property of all residents of the state and bring perpetrators of criminal activities to justice.
