Kano, Alhaji AbdulMajid Danbilki Kwamanda, All Progressive Congress (APC) chieftain in Kano has urged President Bola Tinubu to ensure that court orders are respected in the ongoing Emir’s tussle.

Kwamanda made the call on Monday while addressing newsmen in Kano, cautioning against allowing anyone to violate court orders stopping the reinstatement of Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II.

He expressed concern that the Kano State Government’s actions in violating the Federal High Court order are setting a dangerous precedent that could have far-reaching consequences.

Kwamanda questioned why those who celebrated the use of the court to maintain their government would now stand against a substantive court order.

The insistence on the reinstated Emir staying and parading himself as the authentic Emir of Kano,

Kwamanda argued, violates the rules of law and constitutes a threat to the nation’s constitution and general well-being.

He urged President Tinubu to intervene urgently to bring peace and stability to the state, stressing that respecting the court injunction is crucial to allowing peace to reign.

He appealed to President Tinubu to act in accordance with his reputation as a respecter of law and order, ensuring that everyone respects the law by stopping the reinstatement.

“Mr. President, you should not allow this bad precedent to be set during your tenure. You should ensure that everybody respects the law by stopping the reinstatement.”
