FG empowers farmers with vital inputs and machines to boost yield production

Kano, The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to President Bola Ahmad Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda by empowering over 100 farmers in Kano State with essential farm inputs and machines.

This initiative, which took place at Kadawa Garun Malam Local Government Area on Wednesday, aims to boost yield production and enhance food security nationwide.

According to Agric Officer Aliyu Ibrahim Usman from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, the empowerment program targets vulnerable smallholder farmers under the second phase of the National Poverty Reduction with Growth Strategy.

The farm inputs were distributed to clusters of farmers from Kano’s three senatorial districts, with each cluster receiving one power tiller, 25 Napsac sprayers, liquid fertilizer, Glyposide, and other essential inputs.

The goal of this initiative is to increase yield production, leading to food security in the country.

The Agric Officer urged the beneficiaries to utilize the inputs effectively, promoting agricultural development.

Beneficiaries Hassan Auwal from Kura Local Government praised the Tinubu-led administration’s foresight and commitment to empowering farmers, acknowledging the significant impact on food security.

” This initiative demonstrates the government’s dedication to supporting the agricultural sector and ensuring a food-secure Nigeria.

Badamasi Hassan from Gaya LGA, said that empowering farmers with the necessary inputs and machines, the government is taking a crucial step towards boosting yield production and enhancing food security, ultimately benefiting the nation as a whole.
