Gov. Yusuf mourns Chief Imam of Gwarzo Usman Amu

Kano , Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State has expressed grief over the death of the Chief Imam of Gwarzo central mosque,Alhaji Usman Amu.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Press Secretary to the Deputy Gov. Malam Ibrahim Shuiabu, on Wednesday in Kano.
” Deputy Governor, Alhaji Aminu Gwarzo has on behalf of Governor Abba Yusuf, extended his condolences to the family of late Alhaji Usman Amu in Gwarzo town, headquarters of the Local Government Area.(LGA)
“Governor, Abba Yusuf has extended his condolences to the family and entire people of Gwarzo Local Government Area (LGA) following the tragic death of their Chief Imam, Alhaji Usman Amu.
“Late Usman Amu, a respected figure in Gwarzo LGA, passed away on Tuesday after a brief illness. The news of his demise has left the community in a state of mourning and sadness.
Gov. Yusuf lauded the tremendous contributions made by the late Chief Imam in the development of religious affairs in Gwarzo LGA and his unwavering commitment to preaching peace in the community.
“His passing is a great loss not only to his family and Gwarzo LGA alone but also to the entire state.
“ We pray Almighty Allah to grant the deceased Aljannat Firdaus.”he said.
The Gov. urged the people of Gwarzo LGA to remain united and offer support to one another as they mourn the loss of their beloved Chief Imam.
Alhaji Usman Amu, passed away on Tuesday after a brief illness, left behind wives and several children.
