Eid-el-fitr: NUJ felicitates with Muslims faithful in Kano

Kano council of Nigeria Union Of Journalists ( NUJ) has felicitated with Muslims on this year’s Eid el fitr celebration in the state.
In a congratulatory message jointly signed by the Council’s Chairman and Secretary, Abbas Ibrahim and Abba Murtala, in Kano on Friday.
The council calls on Muslims to imbibe the lessons of Ramadan love, sacrifice, peace and brotherhood as the country ushers in a new democratic despensation.
The council appreciates the role of journalists, security agencies, INEC civil society organisations, Bsnd the electorate in the just concluded general elections in the country.
While urging people to continue to support democratic values , the NUJ Called on elected leaders to put the country First as they come up with people oriented programs that would meet the expectation of the people.
The Union call on its members to continue to be professional while discharging their Constitutional duties.
The council stresses the need for citizens to be extra vigilant and report suspicious movements to security agencies for prompt action.
