Former PDP Guber Candidate Dumps Party for APC in Niger State

The Niger State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship candidate in 2015 and 2019, Alhaji Umar Mohammed Nasko have dumped the party for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) after the lost of his presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Umar Nasko a very strong PDP stalwart made the declaration yesterday in Minna, saying that his decamp was out of conviction, conceded and accepted when he was approached by the progressives led by the APC Governorship candidate Umar Mohammed Bago.
The two terms PDP Governorship candidate explained that this is a turning point for the progressives in Niger state, assuring to work maximally to ensure the victory of the All Progressives Congress APC in Niger state.
He called on all his supporters and admirers across the state to join the fold by working assiduously to ensure the success and victory of the APC come 18th March, 2023 in the state.
The governorship candidate of the APC, Umar Mohammed Bago while accepting him in to the party at the resident of the decampee, stated that they shared same vision for the development of Niger state, adding that Nasko will be part of his government if elected.
Bago described him as a courageous man, determined young man, very intelligent with wealth of experience who have the capacity to be part of the team to move Niger state forward.
Also speaking, the North Central APC Zonal Chairman, Alhaji Mu’azu Bawa Rijau and the state APC chairman, Haliru Zakari Jikantoro emphasized that the challenges faced during the presidential and National Assembly elections would be overcome, assuring of victory with ease during the next elections in the state.
