The Chairman of the Police Service Commission, DIG Hashimu Argungu rtd mni, has expressed shock over the sudden death of CSP Matilda Ngbaronye, Divisional Police Officer of Festac Town Division, Lagos.
CSP Ngbaronye passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025, following surgery at a private hospital in Lagos.
DIG Argungu noted tributes confirmed her as a committed and hardworking Police Officer devoted to the Nigeria Police Force.
He extended sincere condolences to the Inspector General of Police, Commissioner of Police Lagos State Command, her aged mother and relations, praying God grants her soul eternal peaceful rest.
The PSC Chairman stated the Commission remains committed to ensuring conducive working conditions for Police Officers including necessary tools and commensurate benefits for their challenging workload.
