Gov. Yusuf Welcomes 150 Foreign Scholarship Graduates, Offers Automatic Employment

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has welcomed 150 beneficiaries of the state’s foreign postgraduate scholarship program, who recently returned home after completing their master’s degree programs at top international universities. 

The graduates, who arrived at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, were received by the governor, his deputy, Aminu Abdulsalam, commissioners, and other top government officials.

The graduates come from a diverse range of institutions, including Sharda University in India, Mewar University, Symbiosis University, Kalinga University, SR University, Swarnim University, and the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU).

 Notably, 420 of the graduates are first-class holders sponsored by the Kano State Government under the 1000+1 foreign postgraduates scholarship scheme .

During a grand reception at the Government House, Governor Yusuf commended the graduates for their hard work, dedication, and outstanding performance. 

He emphasized the program’s role in equipping young talents with advanced skills to drive progress across critical sectors.

The governor announced automatic employment for graduates in engineering, medicine, pharmaceutical, and other health-related fields. 

This move aims to address the shortage of skilled healthcare professionals and improve the state’s healthcare system and infrastructure development.

Governor Yusuf expressed pride in the graduates’ achievements, confident that they will contribute significantly to the state’s development agenda. 

The foreign postgraduate scholarship scheme is a flagship initiative of the Governor Yusuf administration, providing international exposure and advanced training for Kano’s brightest minds.
