Kano, The Bichi Emirate Council in Kano State has finally submitted to the authority of Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II, reversing their earlier stance.
The council, led by Local Government Chairman Hamza Sule Maifata, Chief Imam Mallam Lawan Abubakar, and Chairman Elders Forum Mallam Isyaka Bichi, paid homage to the Emir, expressing their full support for his leadership.
This development comes after a controversial incident last week, where armed security personnel sealed off the Emir’s palace over the appointment of Munir Sunusi Bayero as District Head.
However, the Bichi Emirate Council has now rallied behind the Emir’s decision, with hundreds of community leaders and residents visiting the palace to show solidarity.
Emir Sanusi II acknowledged the people of Bichi as peace-loving and educated individuals with good religious ideology.
He assured them that the recent disturbances would not hinder the appointment of the new district head, promising that everything would take place peacefully .
The Emir’s words of wisdom emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and avoiding involvement in conflicts that could disrupt public order.
He urged the public to remain peaceful and prayerful, emphasizing that peace and prayer would ultimately lead to a resolution .
