LG boss tasks councilors on people-oriented laws

Dawakin Tofa (Kano State), Alhaji Anas Danmaliki, Chairman of Dawakin Tofa, Local Government Area in Kano State, has urged elected councillors to enact peoples-oriented legislations.
Danmaliki, who stated this while swearing in 10 elected councillors in Dawakin-Tofa on Tuesday, urged them to align with the people’s aspirations.
He urged them to improve on the economy, social and political developments through good laws in the areas of health, roads, Agriculture and education.
“We have established effective strategies to facilitate the large-scale provision of modern farming equipment at subsidised rates for farmers.
“This approach will enable residents to engage in farming throughout the seasons, leading to increased food crop production for both local consumption and export”, he said.
He urged the legislature to intensify their efforts to meet the people’s expectations regarding the implementation of capital projects that will improve their lives.
“Our goal is to positively impact the lives of our people, regardless of political party affiliations, by bringing about meaningful changes,”he said.
The chairman called for more support by reporting any person or group of people with questionable characters to the nearest security agents for prompt action.
