2024/2025 Academic Session – Kano State Postpones Schools Resumption Date

Kano State Government has announced the postponement of the resumption date for both Primary and Post Primary Schools for the commencement of the 2024/2025 academic session.
According to a statement signed by the Director of Public Enlightenment, Ministry of Education, Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, the Commissioner of Education, Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa, explained that the decision to postpone the resumption date was compelled by urgent reasons.
The Commissioner disclosed that a new resumption date would be announced by the ministry soon.
He stated, “I wish to inform pupils, students, and parents that the earlier announcement for schools resumption on 8th and 9th September 2024 is now being postponed due to some urgent reasons that will help improve the conducive learning atmosphere for our children.
Another day for resumption will be announced in due course.”
The statement appealed to those affected, especially students and parents/guardians, to bear with any inconvenience caused by the postponement.
