Gov Yusuf Inaugurates Two Rural Roads

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has inaugurated two road projects and a cattle market, executed by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the Lives and Livelihood Fund (LLF) project.
The road projects, totaling 15.077 kilometers, include the Dambatta-Diggol road and the Wasai-Baita road, constructed at a combined cost of N2,161,406,383.50.
The governor also commissioned the upgraded Dambatta Cattle Market, one of five cattle markets reconstructed and upgraded at a total cost of N340 million
. The projects aim to develop agro-pastoral systems, ensure food security, reduce poverty, and improve livelihoods.
Governor Yusuf described the inauguration as a major milestone, underscoring his administration’s commitment to sustainable infrastructural and agricultural systems.
He noted that the projects would provide socio-economic benefits, including improved access to markets, healthcare, and education.
The upgraded cattle markets feature modern facilities, including loading ramps, watering facilities, office space, security posts, veterinary services infrastructure, public conveniences, and solar lighting.
The governor emphasized that these infrastructure would boost livestock trade, create employment, and align with the state’s development roadmap.
Governor Yusuf expressed gratitude to the IsDB and LLF for supporting the state government’s interventions.
Urging beneficiaries to utilize the infrastructure and empowerment packages provided through the Kano State Agro-Pastoral Development Project (KSADP).
The District Head of Dambatta, represented by Alhaji Ali Adnan, thanked the state government for bringing development to the local communities.
