Suleja, Residents and business owners of Church Road, Zazzau area of Suleja Local Government Area of Niger, have commended Sen. Mohammed Sani Musa, representing Niger East Senatorial District, over the rehabilitation of the road.

The residents, in a statement by Ibrahim Mustapha on Tuesday, said the road was previously in a deplorable condition, characterised by potholes, poor drainage and flooding, which affected businesses and movement.

According to the statement, the road has now been reconstructed with asphalt, standard drainage and solar-powered streetlights.

“For many years, this road was a nightmare. Businesses were closing and tenants were leaving. Today, the road has a new look with smooth asphalt, standard drainage and solar street lights that have improved safety at night,” the statement said.

The residents said the rehabilitation had restored economic activities in the area, with shops reopening and improved vehicular movement.

They said the project was part of interventions by the senator in the senatorial district, including scholarship programmes and ICT training in Bosso, Suleja, Chanchaga, Shiroro, Rafi, Munya, Gurara and Tafa local government areas.

The community pledged support for the senator and thanked him for the intervention, describing the project as impactful.
