Kano – A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kano State, Rabiu Bichi, has said no leader in Nigeria’s contemporary political landscape has demonstrated greater attentiveness to the needs of ordinary citizens than President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking to journalists in Kano, Bichi lauded the President’s governance philosophy, describing it as a deliberate effort to bridge the gap between the federal government and the grassroots.
He said President Tinubu’s policies were rooted in a genuine understanding of the daily struggles of Nigerians and were not mere bureaucratic exercises.
“President Tinubu has shown, through both word and deed, that he is a leader who listens. His administration has prioritised inclusive governance by engaging directly with communities, traders, farmers, and youth groups across the country. This is unprecedented,” Bichi said.
The APC chieftain highlighted the administration’s performance in economic reforms aimed at stabilising the macroeconomy and supporting small and medium enterprises, accelerated road, rail and power projects connecting rural areas to urban markets, and expanded social intervention programmes targeting vulnerable groups.
On food security, Bichi praised President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, saying it had revolutionised the agricultural sector through the rehabilitation of aging irrigation infrastructure and expansion of irrigable farmlands across all geopolitical zones.
He cited ongoing projects in the Hadejia-Jama’are River Basin and other federal irrigation schemes as evidence of the President’s commitment to ending food import dependency.
“The President has not only made promises; he is delivering on them. His responsiveness to feedback from the grassroots, town hall meetings, and direct policy adjustments based on public concerns set him apart from his predecessors,” Bichi added.
Looking ahead to the 2027 general elections, the Kano chieftain called on APC members in the state and nationwide to intensify grassroots mobilisation.
He urged party faithful to rally behind the President, saying a renewed mandate would enable the administration to consolidate and expand its achievements.
“Let us not be distracted. The task ahead requires unity, and we must return Mr President to office to complete the good work he has started,” Bichi concluded.
