Yusuf’s NNPP resignation sparks hope for political growth

Kano, Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano has demonstrated political maturity by resigning from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), showcasing his bold decision to be independent.
Mr Muhuyi Magaji, a Kano-based legal practitioner told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Friday that this move would pave the way for massive political developments.
Magaji explained that the decision would enable the Governor to independently drive development plans without unnecessary interference and avoidable distractions.
He added that it would contribute to restructuring the state’s political landscape for optimal growth.
Magaji, the former Chairman of Public Complain and Anti Corruption Commission, commended the governor for choosing Kano first, saying that the current situation would propel the state to greater heights.
