Kano, Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf of KanoState has received the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWANS) outstanding performance award for his remarkable achievements in sports development.
This is contained in a statement issued by his spokesperson Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa in Kano on Saturday.
The award was presented to the Governor’s Spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, during SWANS’ 60th anniversary celebration in Abuja.
The Governor’s investment in sports development aims to curb youth restiveness and foster job creation, according to Dawakin Tofa.
The Kano State Government also made a donation to SWANS’ appeal fund for the establishment of its secretariat, reaffirming its commitment to partnering with the union to enhance sports activities
