Kano,G/Bissau strengthen bilateral relations on agriculture, education, culture, tourism

Kano, Kano State Government and Guinea Bissau have agreed to strengthen bilateral ties, focusing on agriculture, education, culture,

 tourism and human capital development.

A high-level Kano delegation led by NNPP Chairman Dr Ajuji Ahmed, representing Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf, met Guinea Bissau’s President, Umaro Sissoco Embaló in Bissau on Thursday, according to the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature.

Both sides pledged cooperation on job creation, youths empowerment, skills acquisition in GSM repairs, fish farming, cashew and mango value chains.

Kano offered 50 scholarships for Guinea Bissau citizens to study English and Hausa in state-owned tertiary institutions, promoting cultural and linguistic exchange.

 Embaló praised Yusuf’s leadership, planning a return visit to Kano and directing his Defence Minister to lead a delegation exploring partnership areas.

Yusuf reaffirmed commitment to international partnerships driving opportunities in human capital, trade and culture for Kano people.

The delegation included Kano Commissioners and other top-notch officials. (NAN
