Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board Announces 2026 Hajj Deposit and Seat Allocation

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced the approved deposit for intending pilgrims from the state for the 2026 Hajj exercise. According to a directive from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), the deposit has been fixed at ₦8,500,000.

The Board will commence collection of deposits through bank drafts submitted via Local Government Hajj Center Officers.

Kano State has been allocated 5,684 seats for the 2026 Hajj exercise.

 Intending pilgrims must submit eight passport-sized photographs and a valid international passport.

Collection of deposits will begin immediately and continue until October 5, 2025, when the final Hajj fare will be announced.

The Director General, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, urges intending pilgrims to make timely deposit payments in line with the schedule provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

Local Government Hajj Center Officers are also called upon to work diligently to ensure seat allocations are secured and properly managed.
